Regional Context

Across Oceania, the dignity and value of human life are increasingly under pressure. External cultural and policy influences are introducing abortion practices into island nations that once maintained strong protections for life. In some communities, women continue to be devalued because of their gender, and abortion is quietly affecting families and churches.

Ministry Response and Impact

In 2025, the Hub conducted key trainings in Fiji, including its first Equipping Life-Givers initiative, strengthening leadership across the region. Twelve trainers now serve throughout Oceania, building local capacity despite geographic distance. In Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands, churches are confronting abortion directly, with pastors teaching openly and congregations responding in repentance and renewed commitment.
